WARREN AHRENS: HMT’S FIRST OFFICIALLY SPONSORED ATHLETE

Being 1.99m tall and weighing a mere 94kg:  “you look too much like Shaggy from Scooby Doo” I told myself in 2004. Very quickly and determined I joined the gym and started reading books on nutrition and training and soon started seeing results.

2005 I got my personal training qualification and in 2006 started working for USN. In 2007 I plucked up the courage to compete in the Mr & Ms Fitness SA Pageant where I managed to place 7th in the Mr Physique division.

Determined and with the help of Bernadette Beyer and Shameen Adams I took to the stage again in 2008 and won the Mr Physique title. It is amazing what you can do when you put your mind and heart into something as I walked the stage at 111kg and 3.8% body fat.

Now in 2010, I am proud to say that I’m the FIRST - HMT sponsored athlete and it is amazing to see how well my body is responding to this product.  The best quality product by far!

Training is my passion and I won’t trade it for anything as it keeps me ticking. All I can say about 2011 is, 'I'll be back!'
